Yoga at Creation: Benefits and Expectations

Yoga originates from India as both a spiritual and physical practise providing benefits on many levels to anyone who is willing to try something new.
Within a Yoga Class there will be movement through postures or asanas to aid flexibility and strength and also an emphasis on meditation through awareness of breath.
You do not need to be flexible or of a certain ability to try yoga. The courses run at Creation PT are for all levels, shapes and sizes. There are numerous modifications to yoga poses so everyone can find the right fit for them. Our instructor will provide progression and regression in exercises to make sure the participant is both pushed but comfortable within their Yoga session. There is an
emphasis on getting to know your own body,
and moving with non-comparison and respect.

At the Creation studio we run two types of Yoga; Yin and Vinyasa flow. Yin is a more restorative style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods of time. Vinyasa flow is more dynamic with a focus on strength and challenge.

Lucy Pemberton - Platt is a Vinyasa Flow | Yin | Prenatal yoga teacher. Her accessible, grounded classes, integrate the best elements of power yoga, anatomical precision and mindfulness teachings. Her classes are designed to educate on body awareness and empower clients through the ancient practise of yoga.
