Client Testimonials

"I started training with Matt after a break from the gym and from a very low level of fitness. He was patient and encouraging and never made me feel inferior; he also never let me get away with slacking off! As a shift worker though, there were times I'd turn up to a session after only a few hours sleep and would just not be able to perform at the same level as when I was on a day off. Matt was always happy to work around this and was good at recognising when I was being lazy and when I was exhausted. He worked with me to find exercises I would enjoy and keep me motivated. I really came to love the sessions.

I found Matt's attitude towards health and fitness much less intimidating than most other trainers; he has incredibly high standards for himself and has a huge amount of knowledge. If my food diary wasn't great he would make positive suggestions and alternative choices rather than preach, I never felt like I was being told off. And he was a realist about treats!

I'd recommend Matt as a trainer to anyone, whatever their level of fitness. I wish I was still able to train with him".

Since working with Matt, having regular PT sessions my overall strength and fitness has improved noticeably. I sat down with him initially to discuss what I was hoping to achieve. Matt made the sessions varied and structured which enabled me to see my progress whilst remaining interested. I've learned a lot from Matt's training and also enjoyed the relaxed way in which he runs each session. I would have no hesitation in recommending Matt to anybody.

I would highly recommend Matt if you are considering personal training. My partner and I had joint sessions with Matt and he tailored each session to cover our training needs. He pushed me to achieve things I wouldn't have ever considered trying before training with him. I've gone from doing weights occasionally to being able to squat just over my body-weight. He regularly changed up training sessions so we never got bored and made accommodations where needed. Matt is really knowledgeable and was able to advise on diet or stretches that would help if I felt I had a niggle. He is also really friendly and easy to talk to. Unfortunately we moved 40 miles away and we've not been able to convince him to move near us!
